Choosing A Trainer

We heard from someone who used another “trainer” for board & train with his dog. The owner didn’t hear anything form the trainer – no pictures, videos, feedback, phone calls – and when the dog was picked up afterwards, he was abused, neglected, and has numerous medical and mental issues. The “trainer” isn’t licensed, has no insurance, and has hurt this dog and owner something fierce.

Why am I sharing this?

This is one of the reasons why we share everything on social media – Facebook, YouTube, Instagram – you see it all! We encourage owners to come halfway through training to work with their dogs.

We have our dog training business license in the state of Florida, and carry liability insurance. Continuing education is always ongoing.

When choosing your trainer, research them.

Are they transparent on how they training and what they do?

Are they legally set up?

Are they insured?

Do they get the results you want?

Do they have reviews from people who have actually used their services? We do have some 1 star Facebook reviews from people we have NEVER even met.

Are you comfortable with them?

Do you trust them with your dog?

Are they available for questions?

Are they a member of any professional organizations?

You are not just choosing a dog trainer, you are picking a coach who will help you and your dog to have the best life possible. You are choosing someone to make a difference in your world.
